Producer – Risks

  • Having wires in the studio exposed. This would be a risk because if you touch the live wire you may electrocute yourself and cause short to long term injuries. This could be avoided by covering the live wires with electrical tape.
  • Having volume too loud. This may cause you to have impaired hearing if its too loud when you turn it on it may cause a loud bang. You could stop this from happening by checking the sound levels beforehand.
  • Not having breaks. If you find yourself in the studio looking at a screen this may  cause you to have eye strain and lead to pounding headaches. by having a break every hour this could be preventing.
  • Having wires laying all over the place. This may cause people to trip and potentially sue you for having an unsafe workplace. this could be avoided by being clean and tidy within the workplace.
  • having instruments on the floor in the way. This may also lead to being sued if someone apart from yourself trips over in the work place. This could also be avoided by tyding the workplace.
  • Trying to lift equipment that is too heavy for you. This may cause back pains for you in the future. this could be avoided by lifting equipment you know you capable of lifting.

Mixing and Mastering Engineer – Risks

  • Not leaving the work place. If you find you are looking at a screen this may cause you to have potential eye strain and lead to pounding headaches. By having a break every hour this could be easily avoided.
  • Having music on too loud. This may cause hearing difficulties such as Tenesis and could be long lasting damage. This could be stopped by checking the sound levels before you begin to play the track.
  • Sitting down too long. This may cause back pain and weight gain as you aren’t moving. This could be avoided by moving around and doing exercise every hour.
